Fellowship
“Join with us in the fellowship that we have with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.” John 1: 3
Since Jesusʼ resurrection is not the end, but rather itʼs the beginning, the question that seems to arise most frequently is, ʻwhat does this mean for me, how does this impact on my life? Can Jesus make sense of everyday life or is Jesus only for one hour or so on Sunday? In fact, Iʼm a Christian, do I even need to go to church?
1 John 1:1-4 sets the tone in answering these thoughts. The author communicates three basic things to the reader – the Gospel of life in Jesus Christ, the testimony of those who saw, heard and touched Jesus at the time, and the goal, which is stated as “fellowship,” so that your joy, the awareness of Godʼs free grace, may be full. So, what is this fellowship? Join us this Sunday and enjoy fellowship with each other as part of the church family as we all fellowship with God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ.
