Peace and Unity
Matthew 10:24-3
We pray for peace, yet we daily live in war within our own societies. In the midst of this broken, divided world, we struggle. People are always looking for right answers. Answers that seem to never be straight forward but differ, some falling to the right and some to the left. Such outcomes seem to divide us more and create even greater strain. This is very evident today in the pain and anxiety that is taking over our world currently. In the midst of this we have to deal with our own error and our own sin.
But there is a place of the miraculous. That place is where all can find the mercy of God and both sides need it, desperately. And as they find the God who draws them to Himself, declaring mercy, those who don’t want it, and the others who don’t think they have a need.
There they can find unity, being assured of God’s love, if they will hear the Word of God, a word that not only helps, but hold us when we stumble, a word that offers salvation. We have all sinned. We are all narcissistic in our various ways, but Jesus died for all of us. Only in Him can we find unity, as forgiven and cleansed.
